juz in case u guys r wundering y i hafent blogged in so long ( tis muz b the longest break since i revived my blog ) -- ive been hafing fun n working hard n unpacking!! :D break down of wad i've done :

24-25 Dec

Slacked in sch.. had a wunderful xmas eve dinner thanks to richard.. tried to do parts of my computing hw (nt too successful tho shall cheong it tml)

26 Dec

Went down to london to do shopping!! haha it was CRAZY!! n ppl still dare say tat singaporeans shop so much.. its crazier in london's oxford street.. clothes everywhere up down left right.. juz ren ji ren.. but its rahter nice la.. juz to b squished in the middle of nowhere..

met SO MANY ppl on 26th itself juz by walking rd london.. saw zhihong (yes the zhihong fr nygh sec 1-2) in a pub/restaurant in london.. was rather surprised cuz i din noe she studied in the uk so i asked her 'where are you?' and she answered me 'london?' nt a v wise way to start the conversation huh? but anw she's studying in singpaore

den i met danxu n xi zi at leicester sq (i think).. juz walking walking den 'HI!!!' haha.. quite fun.. the bez was meeting ninghan at Monsoon or Next or dunno which shop in oxford street. was juz abt to walk out le den saw her (or rather richard pointed her out to me).. den we became zhor ding n blocked the way while talking :D haha.. n nini u r as violent as ever ;)

so shopping on 26th was a failure.. :( tho i managed to catch 'Blood Brothers'.. wud prefer watching a happy musical rather than a tragedy tho but nvm..

still in london but decided to get away fr the crowds n go walk rd museums inst. went globe theatre (the shakespeare one) but hadta pay to go in so decided against it.. n den spent the whole morn at tate modern b4 meeting desmond for lunch (roast duck at bayswaters!) .. n den walk round c c.. it was freaking cold la!! n i stupidly nt bring my gloves n scarf (cuz they were in the laptop bag which i din unpack)..

tink it was at night when we were back in oxford st again that i went marks n spencers n saw gloves for 3 pounds n scarf for 3 pounds too.. so bought a set (lilac-- hah u'll c the pics ltr if i ever get to uploading them).. and then i was in next n i saw this coat for 20 pounds.. considered cheap le la.. n theres my size n everythg.. juz tat i dun like the buttons n it is WHITE (or rather white with black marks on it now).. so easy dirty.. tempted to throw it into the washing machine lolz..

rahter liked oxford street then cuz it was the only street with decorations.. nth like singapore's orchard road in terms of decor but at least there are some lights up.. haha its canterbury that is pretty. but think nv take foto :(

went down to canterbury.. it was FILLED WITH SNOW!!! haha there was tis cold wind blowing in to the east side of uk.. so kent was one of the hardest hit with temp dropping to -10 at night.. damn glad i had my new coat.. was frozen even in london (which was warmer) in my original one.. :D saw tis gigantic snowman n took pics with it.. went to the 3 must see places in canterbury -- st augustine, st martins, and the cathedral itself.. but went into neither cuz of various reasons.. wud haf spent a lot more if all of them were open cuz need ta pay entrance fees.. :(

hha managed to do more shopping again (hey i nv hui huo now ok.. was buyign useful stuff).. so much easier shopping in canterbury cuz it is less crowded.. more orderly etc.. :D n i bought a pair of knee high boots for 10 pounds.. nt exactly wad i wanted (i wanted brown but it was black).. but who cares its 10 pounds only.. *haf a feelin i'll nv be able to buy wad i wan cuz i'll always settle for sth tat costs less rahter than sth that fits all my criteria*.. anw.. so come cny i can wear that n start wearing all the skirts i wan.. whoopee!!

much of the day was spent travelling.. there is no direct transport (at least nt tat i noe of) linking canterbury to brighton.. so we hadta take coach fr canterbury to london n den fr london to brighton again.. oh well.. we managed to catch the earlier coaches and thus reach brighton earlier than expected.. haha i really really love the sea~~~

brighton is v touristy.. juz by the sea lor.. and it feels so american!! the feel doesnt show up well in the fotos tho.. but i felt like i m in america.. haha brighton pier has this amusement park at the end of it.. with all the hot dog stalls n cotton candy stall(c my msn pic for me w/ candy floss :D).. and the beach was filled with pebbles rather than sand.. anyhow its juz so nice :D.. was waiting for sunset tho but it was getting cloudy..

den at night (or rather nightfall -- cuz it's dark at 430 or 5pm) started walking rd again crashing into every shop -- in a way its juz to b warm for that spilt sec b4 gg out.. n went for dinner.. den we saw the closed royal pavillian (its a shame tat we din take foto of it at all).. anw its too cold so din stay outside for too long.. tho it'd b nice juz sitting by the sea listening to waves..

initially we planned to explore the area.. but lao tian bu zuo mei.. it started pouring really heavily :( so mao yu walk to the royal pavillian.. it is a castle built by king george V (or IV cant rmb).. the exteral looks like taj mahal -- with all the dome shaped structures (and a bit out of place).. and then when we go in (after paying quite a bit -- sigh tourist attractions) the inside had so much oriental stuff.. the king liked all the chinese chinese stuff.. so there were oriental paintings palm leaves dragon phoenixes all ard.. quite weird seeing painting of an ang moh guy wearing traditional chinese clothes.. but tis king really led an hedonistic lifestyle.. dinner has 36 courses!!! no wunder he died rather early.. think ruled for 20 years only.. queen victoria I stayed in there too.. but her rooms are more subtle.. too bad ive no fotos of the place at all.. nt even the exterior cuz it was raining.. cud take a pic of a postcard n post here..

and then we went to the museum n juz walked thru all the exhibits.. nth particularly interesting.. n its back on the coach n back to london..

went round london again.. wanted to go tower bridge / hill.. but it costs a lot n is super crowded cuz its eve of new yr.. mayb nxt time ba.. den decided to go westminster inst. but i din noe ma.. tot only go tower bridge n back so din buy day ticket (a single tube trip costs 2 pounds, return costs 4 pounds, and day trip ie unlimited cost 4.60) n we ended up walking to westminister.. haha by the time we reach there we realised tat victoria was juz further down n so we walked down to victoria in the end.. waste money :( n den its back to sch!!! :D

some seniors organized a small gathering to count down to new year's eve.. so was watching rahter boring uk tv while waiting for countdown.. nt too bad.. :D

Decided to procrastinate doing work n start unpacking my rm slowly.. changed the position of some stuff (but yan came in juz now and said 'your rm looks EXACTLY the same!' -_-) but packed more into cupboards.. haha my dhl stuff nt arrived yet so it is still empty (TODAY some guy called me fr london heathrow n asked me abt some stuff on my dhl invoice.. sux so slow n ive no clothes!)

desmond helped me collect my keys while i was travelling but he wasnt given the full set of keys.. so i slowly make my way down to the reception n collect my keys.. den slowly unpack everythg.. :D being the lazy bum that i m..

lect - do computing hw - ballet - go comp lab complete the hw - dinner - watch 'constant gardener

tentative hw plan:
finish computing hw by tis wk..
rough sketch of my ubs sponsorship essay over the wkend (i stupidly threw the rough sketch i did in singapore away)
try to get started on the merill lynch proj
hopefully by nxt wk i'll get the 1st draft of my sponsorship essay out.. n send it out by 16/17 (due date's on 23.. but we dun wan anythg screwing up do we? judging fr the system here)

hhaha tentative hw plan.. do u tink i can stick to it..? noooooo..
